I say this all the time, but as I have a doctorate in History, you can imagine, I really enjoy historical novels, and I particularly like the sound of this - Nazi Germany is one of my favourite eras if history. This seems like the perfect book to escape into and escape reality for a little while, and I'm really intrigued to find out more about Friedrich and his journey from unworldly aspiring artist to getting tangled up with Kristin/Stella.
