I was immediately drawn to this book having read the blurb. I love reading historical fiction, particularly about the Second World War and Jewish history. I have read so many books about this period of time but am always interested in reading more, as it is such an important part of European history. I thought the cover looked very atmospheric and brooding which also appealed to me. I would love the opportunity to read a book by this author who I have not read before.
