I'm not really sure what to make of this book. I like the sound of the premise....but....it's another 'early years of the Nazis, and the insidious effects of that on ordinary Germans'
Don't get me wrong - it's important. But it feels a little like there are so many books about the period (and the Tudors!) that I'm perhaps a bit jaded when a new one comes along.
But, as I said, the premise is interesting and if it really focuses on the relationships and characters then this could be very different and I'd like to read more to see if it develops in this way.
