Right, I know, we get it, the war was terrible, we showed the worst we are capable of,and yet at the same time we are so curios and absorbed by its atrocities and how we got there that every day a new jewish-nazi-german story is published.
I am usually fast to ignore this type of books, part of me finds the romantization of this part of the story a bit too much. But not this time, the story is captivating the author has an easy to get in flow writing style and honestly, I think it is well worth a chance!
For what I have so far gathered, I believe this book has the potential, to show us an understanding of the trivialities of the life at the time, to get us in perspective as to, who would I have been, how would I have acted? Will I have saved the day? or would we have just tried to thrive and survive the circumstances? There is a lot hidden in the romance, a fair amount of introspection and social analysis.
