Where to start? Stella tells the miserable story of betrayal and harsh love, where no happiness seems to come from the relationships built within the book.

It is a story that can be read in a few hours, only 193 pages long, so if you are looking for a quicker read this may be something to consider. The story itself is dark and upsetting, which isn't the kind of book I tend to read. However, it does educate us on a truth that should be shared about history. It isn't a book I would read again purely as it was so miserable, no happiness evoking from any part of the story, but I suppose with the time this is set that makes perfect sense.

If you enjoy a sad story that also educates us on past events then I would recommend this book. It does have a unique writing style and also some wording seems confusing but that is likely due to the translation as it is not initially a book written in English.
