To be honest, this book isn't really my taste because I like reading modern books set in modern times and this story was set in 1942. I still bought this book anyways because all my friends were recommending it to me. When I started reading it, it was a bit boring but I still continued to read it (a great decision) and it got really interesting and I started to enjoy the book. To my surprise, the book had exceeded my expectations and I was very thankful that I decided to listen to my friends and get the book. I love how the book has a mixture of truth and fiction. The characters are fictional but the story is based on a true story so you can learn something while reading it. I quite liked the characters but some of them were quite annoying (in my opinion) and I just don't think it helped with the story. Anyways, I would recommend it even to people who like modern books like me because it might surprise you how much you like it.
