This was an interesting read. At first I found the style of writing a bit difficult. It seemed that the sentences were very abrupt but once I got into it I found it easier. The story seemed a little far fetched to me although I understand it was based on fact. I know Fredrich was naive but he was so besotted with Stella that everything she said and told him he took at face value. I think she was using him and quite blatantly flirted with other men. I thought I would feel more sympathy for Stella but as a character she was very annoying.and it was hard to believe she worked with Gestapo and seemed to deny her Jewish background. I did find Berlin at the time quite interesting, Berliners seemed hardly affected by the war that was going on, unless of course you were Jewish. I found the cases mentioned at the end of chapters quite chilling to read and what monsters the Nazis were
