Takis is a new author to me and I like the excitement of the unknown, but was disappointed. It was ok but I did not really enjoy it and I wouldn't go looking for the first book by this author.

Life in Berlin is lived under the grip of the Nazi party. Kristin reveals that year real name is Stella and she is Jewish.Friedrich tries to support her but the situation soon spirals out of control.
The story is well told and the the history well researched. The characters of Friedrich and Kristin/Stella are well written and believable. A different side to life in wartime Berlin is revealed.
I didn't enjoy this but I am sure there are plenty of people who will read and enjoy this book.
