Been reading a lot of these sort of book lately, but this one I just couldn’t put down read it from start to finish in one sitting. Friedrich is a young man who’s trying to find himself in the middle of war time (world war two 1942) when he decides to go to war torn Berlin to study art, he finds himself entranced by the live model Kristin ( also known later as Stella) who basically changes his life shows him things that he didn’t understand and shows him about his feelings. He falls madly in love with her but she’s not who she appears to be she holds a lot of secrets and only tells him so much, which can put his life in serious danger. In the end I think even though he loves her he has to leave to save his own life. I like that it tells you a little bit about his and stellas life after the story ends so your not left in limbo try to guess, love that it’s actually based on a true story. Definitely worth a read....
