This is a dark retelling of Cinderella's story from the perspective of one of the ugly stepsisters.
I didn't enjoy the prologue as I felt it was rushed and confusing. However, once the story got going I was pleasantly surprised. The writing is brilliant and the story dark and bloody from the outset. I've never really been interested in retellings, but this one could be the exception.
