Wow! I was really blown away by this extract! I was unsure if a fairytale spin off would be the genre for me but this is such a dark and twisted take it drew me in straight away.
The prose had real pace to it, enhanced by the short chapters, and left you wanting more. I can tell this will be a real page turner that might just keep you up all night.
You immediately got a sense of Isabelle's character and I sense this will develop further throughout the novel making her a winning protagonist.
Donnelly has won awards for her previous novels and I feel Step Sister will be no different!
