There is so much that intrigues me about this book. First, the author. Jennifer Donnelly is a brilliant and much feted author, usually linked to her historical fiction books. Second, I love a fairy tale retelling. Usually, authors have recently loved gender bending, empowering female retellings. But cheering on the "wicked" stepsister? This I will have to read for myself!
