Clever retelling of classic fairytale
Interesting retelling of a classic fairy tale mixed with Greek mythology. The opening chapter about the Fates in Venice mapping out future lives is very suggestive of Shakespeare's three witches at the start of Macbeth.
Although I am not a fan of YA fantasy fiction, I would be interested to see how this story told from the point of view of Isabelle, one of the cruel step sisters, unfolds.
The attractive cover showing a shattering glass slipper is attractive and relevant.
