I was initially put off from the cover. Although it portrays what the book will be about I just think it could have been so much better and doesn't do justice to the quality of the writing. Even though I am always dubious about retellings of fairy tales, I think they are amazing when done right and from the extract I read, I think this is going to one of those times. Cinderella is not my favourite of fairy tales but it is so iconic to everyone. I think it takes a brave and talented writer to take on such a challenge and I found the concept of continuing the story after the happy ever after intriguing, especially with one of the step sisters as the main character. Although I wouldn't have chosen this to read necessarily, I am happy I have read the beginning and its left me wanting to read more
