Fairytales have been re-done so many times that I didn't hold out too much hope for this. However, this story felt fairly new - it introduced a back story to some of the major characters who are siply ignored or described as 'wicked' in the original. The writing was fun and easy to read - it reminded me of the style of Holly Black. It seems like it would be a fun story to read.
