This seems like it will be an engaging and brilliant read. I generally love re-tellings of fairy tales and myths, especially from the POV of the original antagonists. I like how the fates add an element of Greek mythology to the mix. Here the step sister is 3D, driven to act the way she does by her difficult life and bullying mother. I hope that the step mother is also fleshed our and examined in a new light later in the book.

The writing is light and easy to read, the chapters short and addictive, and it is close enough to the narrator to understand her pain. I love so many phrases so far, and think there will be wisdom throughout. ‘“Change is a kiss in the dark. A rose in the snow. A wild road on a windy night,” Chance countered.
“Monsters live in the dark. Roses die in the snow. Girls get lost on wild roads,” the crone shot back.

The cover is striking and perfect for the book. The glass slipper on the black background stands out and the cover overall makes me want to read the synopsis. I like that the slipper is shattered and falling away, it tells me that this is a book where the original story is broken apart and reconfigured in a new light.
