This book has taken a unique angle on the well known fair tale Cinderella. Not only is this book bound to be great just from the plot, but Jennifer Donnellys' descriptions and well thought out words are just the icing on the cake.
The story begins where, Cinderella's ends. Meet Isabelle, one of Cinderella's stepsisters. Unlike most girls in this era; beautiful, dainty and fair, Isabelle is brave, and would rather spend her time fencing(quite like myself) and horse riding.
In the prologue, readers are instantly introduced to the 'fates' and Chance. These four characters were a great touch to the book, well I suppose there wouldn't be any story without them. None the less this small peice engages the reader right from the start.
