A great reimagining

A fantastic imagining of what happened to Cinderella's step-sister after Ella had married the Prince. The female characters are well written, but the male characters depictions leave rather a lot to be desired - I think this may be taking the feminism aspect of the plot too far. However, the plot moves at a cracking pace and the action continues throughout the story.

There are some strong relationships within the text - in particular, the interaction between Fate and Chance and also the relationship between the sisters (especially when Ella re-enters the story). There are a number of twists within the story, although some are predictable whilst others take you by surprise. It was good that Isabelle didn't have a completely easy ride and had to work at resolving her problems. She was such a sympathetic character that you were cheering her on as she progressed through her trials.

All-in-all, this is a good read and one that I would highly recommend.
