I was really looking forward to reading this after a sneak peek at the first chapter. Cinderella is my favourite fairy story. I loved the premise, the cover, the first taste. However it was soooo disappointing after the start. I found myself forcing myself to come back to it and plough on. I still can't put my finger on why. The writing? The story? The cliches? Whatever, I found it was very, very hard going. I found myself very frustrated as I felt it had such potential. If I were to judge a book by its cover it would be 5*, but sadly the contents felt a bit like the beautiful glass slipper - full of hopes and dreams but shattered into a million pieces. Sorry, but just not for me!!!
