I absolutely adored reading Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly. It was such a beautifully written fairytale retelling that I didn't know I needed so much until I read the blurb!
Although it was not my favorite retelling of Cinderella, it was definitely an enjoyable and unique one. I loved hearing the tale from Cinderella’s stepsister’s point of view and I found myself rooting for the traditionally told villain. I felt as though it could have been executed a little better but overall it was very good! It was such an interesting and clever twist on the story I have grown up hearing and I really liked it!
The writing was very good and the book flowed nicely and was well paced. The cover was very beautiful and represented the book well.
