Firstly, I loved the cover of this book and as soon as I saw that I knew this would be my type of book. This is, as you would expect, a modern retelling of the story Cinderella but as well as focusing on who does what it also dives a little but deeper and shows you why they behave as they do. This book focuses a lot on characters that have been portrayed as just clear bad guys before!
The chapters are short which means the book feels like an easier read, you can pick it up and put it down as you have time for it.
This was really well done and I was surprised by quite how much I enjoy it. This is worth a read even if you’re not a fan of the current spate of fairytale retellings. Fantastic.
