I've only read the First Look sampler, but I greatly enjoyed what I read. The writing is whimsical and fairytale-like, with beautiful descriptions of the mansion and the palazzo of the Fates. I am a big fan of Greek mythology and fairytale retellings, so I loved how this book combines a retelling of the Fates and Cinderella. I also enjoyed how the book immediately makes you feel for Isabelle, one of the evil stepsisters in the original tale, who is our main character in this book. She is just trying to please her mother and help her family, which is understandable and realistic, immediately making you sympathise with the character. Overall, I am now very interested in continuing to read this book.
