Stepsister was a gripping read throughout. The story line kept me wanting to know more throughout the book which meant for an easy read. The connection between characters was clear and the plot line was easy enough to follow (as some fairy tale style books can be). The writer really knows how to grip the reader with their use of language to engage. It's refreshing. As a female myself I felt that the story was a true tale of feminine unity as opposed to having feminism forced on you. I did feel that the book started out very promisingly however as the story progressed and neared its conclusion I did find that I was enjoying it a little less than at the start however I would say that overall it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
