Stepsister was a fantastic book! It has a powerful message to both girls and boys. I do believe that more people should read this book. Jennifer brings everyone into Isabelle’s perspective instead of focusing on Ella (Cinderella) like other variations of Cinderella. Isabelle goes through a lot of judgement and still pulls through, becoming herself. The characters were well thought out, and well done! The plot line was intriguing! I never wanted to stop reading. I would recommend Stepsister to anyone who’s willing to read it! It showed how no one is perfect not even Cinderella herself. Everyone has darkness inside them, similarly, everyone gets a chance to find their true self besides the darkness inside. Through her journey Isabelle finds herself and proves that she is not only an ugly girl but beautiful on the inside, brave, and loved.
