I loved this book!! Love a good Disney retelling, especially when it’s from a villains perspective! So the story starts from the last few scenes from Cinderella, the prince comes to see if the shoe fits, you know the bit. Except this time, we get to read all about the step sisters being emotionally blackmailed into sawing their feet off in the kitchen by evil step mother. First sister almost gets away with it, but the blood leaks through. You think that would stop good old mum from forcing evil step sister #2, well it doesn’t. She gets right back in the kitchen and forces her too. I physically cringed for her when the prince notices, but instead of being repulsed by her, he’s actually really sweet and feels sorry for them. It’s a great read, trust me. I loved that it flowed really well, I think I read it in one sitting. Just a really good easy read.
