Stepsister is the first book by Jennifer Donnelly I read, I made it two chapters before adding their previous works to my TBR.
I love a good retelling so when I first heard about it I immediately requested a review copy and was not disappointed when I read it. Stepsister is a Cinderella retelling from the perspective of one of her ugly Stepsister's, Isobell. I was blown away by Jennifer's writing, how beautifully the plot and characters were written and how they all fit together seamlessly.
Stepsister is the perfect read for anyone who loves fairytales, retellings and fantasy in general. You won't be disappointed by this one. Just writing this makes me want to grab my copy and reread it.
