Jennifer Donnelly is an author who I fell in love with her “Deep Blue” saga as her writing style and character development are true masterpieces.
So when I saw “Stepsister” was becoming available on here to get a copy I knew I had to get a copy especially knowing it was a fairytale retelling of “Cinderella” but from the point of view from one of the stepsisters.
The first and biggest thing I loved was how human and three dimensional she made the stepsisters. She made you really fall in love with them even through their faults.
I only had one problem with this book and that was just the pacing. The book is just shy of 500 Pages and at points in the book some of the chapters had a really slow pace where I had to take breaks.
I would definitely recommend though as the character development and plot is fantastic.
