This book is about Isabelle, one of Cinderella step-sister. She isn't actually mean and terrible like we thought she was but instead she is the main character in this book. She has always been pressured by her mother to be perfect like Ella but she never get's to have what she wants: to be noticed and to be loved. The premise sounded exciting and I thought it was a really good idea to do a book about an "evil" character, which recently is something that is very popular like with the film Maleficent. Anyway, the book sounded really interesting. I liked how it wasn't a really disney version but instead didn't hesistate to show blood and guts (like when the evil mother makes Isabelle cut her own toes to get the prince).
