I have been reading a lot of retellings lately and this one definetly was one of the most memorable. It was really hard to put it down! I absolutely loved it! This was a "retelling" of Cinderella, but it takes place after she leaves her stepsisters...and this story is not about Cinderella, but Isabelle, one of the stepsisters which i found to be a really interesting choice that i couldn't help but love. it was very refreshing to read such a different cinderella retelling.
Reading this book was like a fairytale/self-help book. I loved all the nuggets of wisdom that Donnelly so artfully packed into it throughout the storyline. This is a must-read for any girl who needs to remember to be true to herself and follow her own heart!
I loved the writing style as well it was easy enough to read but didn't feel childish.
