I have to be totally honest and say I was more than sceptical about reading this book and would never have picked it for myself but a friend lent it me with the promise it would not disappoint and it didn’t.
I was not sure if it would work and whether it would be dark and sinister or just not work at all or hold my attention compared to the original story.
It took me a while to read and I dipped in and out of it but I really enjoyed it. I got more involved and invested in the second half and latter part of the book but overall it was a throughly enjoyable read and I’m glad that my friend passed it to me and pushed me out of my usual genre and allowed me to read this. A change really is as good as a rest !
