I almost didn't need to read the 'First Look' of this book, the blurb listed loads of my favourite Scandinavian writers! Which means Mr. Lapidus has a lot to live up to. Enter the 'First Look'! There is always something indefinably typical about Scandinavian crime writing. Maybe its the nature of the translation but it adds a tension that draws the reader in. I'm a reader. I'm drawn in.
