Firstly, the cover reminds me of The Inheritance Games which I loved, so very good start there. It gives off a vibe of an Agatha Christie film poster too, which is appropriate.
The sample gets us into the minds of some of the characters and the variety and bubbling resentments under the surface really make me want to read more to see how it will all implode later on in the book. I love the 1920s role play aspect of the book and I bet that will play a big role in the murder mystery later on. So many Agatha Christie books and films were set on an island or by the sea around then so it seems the perfect atmosphere. I can’t wait to read about all the drama and action!
