It's like "And Then There Were None" meets "Knives Out" in a YA book!!
Absolutely loved the start of this book, it perfectly sets the mood for a thrilling mystery.
We get introduced to the characters in a more "showing than telling" way, which is fantastic! I loved how the writer described their clothes and hairstyles to get the point across.
Might be a little too heavy on the adverbs sometimes, but I remember loving this writing style when I was 15-18.
And what gets me most excited is how it's setting out to be sort of a "And Then There Were None" book.
