This looks like a classic YA whodunnit that is the perfect gateway into thrillers and mysteries. Personally, I’m too old (I can’t believe I said that) for YA fiction now, as I find myself struggling to not cringe at the dialogue. However, the snippet of this was pleasantly surprising.
I don’t think I’d necessarily go for this in a bookshop, but I can see it becoming a hit for the right person.
