An island cut off from the mainland. An isolated manor house with a storied history. A week-long, no-expense-spared recreation of a decadent 1920s soiree. And a bunch of spoiled teenagers with an abundance of secrets. There aren’t many better recipes for a murder mystery.

It’s clear from the prologue of Suddenly A Murder that something very bad is going to happen during the group’s post-graduation celebration, something that narrator Izzy is intimately involved in. The actual details and the reasoning behind Izzy’s seemingly extreme plan will no doubt be revealed as the book progresses, and it should be a lot of fun to discover the whydunit of the story.
