I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, exciting and just what I needed to get back into reading. ‘Suddenly a Murder’ felt a little like a dark academia book mixed with a fun murder mystery. From the blurb we already know who will be murdered and who may be the likely suspect. However, as the story unfolds there is more to it than we are made to believe.
The dual timelines gave the story great pacing and kept me interested. I liked that the popular rich girl was not the cliche mean girl that is usually the case in most YA books. I loved the friendship between the two main female characters - Izzy and Kassidy, however I would have loved to know even more of their back stories.
Overall, I thought it was a great read and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a fun murder mystery. If you liked ‘One of Us Is Lying’ then you might enjoy this book too.
