What a fantastic debut novel from a former lawyer aware of the ins and outs of the law. A murder mystery for a new generation that gives a nod to the greatest crime writers of the past, none less so than Agatha Christie, especially the setting and the vast range of characters. Indeed, there are elements of Christie's And Then There Were None, but the author has her own twists and turns to add a unique flavour to the 'cosy' murder mystery for the 21st century.

The cover image of the range of students caught up in the mystery adds to the modern flavour, while the background links to the past. A perfect combination captured most excellently by the author. The list of suspects and their own complex characters are fully played out, and the mystery element of this debut novel is very strong indeed. I look forward to reading more from this highly talented author in the future.
