Lauren Munoz has written the perfect story to introduce young adults to the genre of murder mystery books. Isadora Morales attends Marian Academy, a school where almost all of the children have extremely wealthy parents. Izzy is the exception as she is there due to her mother being a teacher at the school. Izzy and Kassidy have been friends since starting school despite their very different backgrounds. Kassidy has been dating Blaine for a few years and they have all made friends with other students including Fergus, who Blaine has been friendly with since childhood, Ellison and Marlowe. As a graduation treat Kassidy has arranged for the friends to spend a week at Ashwood Manor and plans a 1920s theme complete with costumes and no modern technology. Chloe is included at Kassidy's father's insistence as he is in the middle of business negotiations with Chloe's mother. There are arguments and tensions as old feuds and grievances are brought to light when 'Suddenly A Murder' takes place. Great concept, well executed and very enjoyable.
