Suddenly a murder revolves around the lives of 7 teenagers who are celebrating the end of High School. The main character is Izzy, who joins her best friend Kassidy and their group of friends on a 1920's themed celebration at the glamourous Ashwood Manor, a place they have dreamed of going as it is the location of one of their favourite films. Most of the characters are somewhat entitled and come from wealthy backgrounds - all except Izzy.

The experience is going well, until secrets and underlying issues are shared and then Kassidy's boyfriend turns up dead, leaving the remaining 6 ‘friends’ suspects in a murder investigation.

When interrogations take place, it seems everyone had a reason to commit the crime and have something they wish to hide.

The story is a slow burner, with the murder taking place quite a way into the book. However, the author takes this time to build up the characters, and to create wonderful setting descriptions - very fitting to the 1920’s time. Through the novel each person is explored fully and their connections and relationships to the others, until the full picture has been painted.

An interesting story, with an ending that does keep you guessing.
