YA is a favourite genre of mine...as is a good murder mystery so these two combined is a recipe of perfection. I have rated this book 4.5 stars as I couldn't put it down.

The setting and theme was so good; not only was it locked in scenario - a years old manor house on an isolated island only reached by boat - but the teenagers were taking part in a 1920s themed getaway based on the girls favourite Jazz era murder mystery so it was no phones, no casual wear and no fraternizing with the staff. I thought this was fresh and original and peaked my interest from the very beginning.

I liked the writing and the quirky characters and all the drama that comes with rich, entitled teenagers graduating from private school and flirting with everyone regardless of if they are attached or not. It was a quick, easy read with some interesting twists and turns and I was actually surprised at the ending.

Highly recommend and I can't wait to see more from this author.
