I love just about everything about the sound of this book. The period it's set in, the plight of wartime refugees, the air of mystery around Summerland and how it connects with Brigitta. I particularly like how the chapter headings are items of food that wouldn't be out of place in the period it's set in. A neat, quirky touch.
