This sounds like my kind of book. The aftermath of the second world war is still prevalent and the Red cross are working hard to rescue the child refugees in Europe. The story turns to a young girl Brigitta who comes to England as a refugee, her only possession is a single glove, Brigitta is desperate to reach Summerland Hall and find the one person who can help her to solve a mystery.
