Although I know about the Jewish children who arrived in Britain before the start of the war, I didn't know anything about the ones who came after so the First Impression was brilliant and really captured the feeling of post war England. Brigitta the heroine is a character I really want to know. I love the chapters being given the names of foods. The cover design is simple with a sad lone figure. I would enjoy reading this book.
