The book cover caught my eye and I loved the blurb immediately. I like historical fiction and I was interested in what happens to the silent girl and what her secrets are. However, when I read the First Look, I was a bit disappointed with the writing style. It felt too modern and I had expected a more old-fashioned style of writing.
