This seems like it’ll be an interesting book, but I just couldn’t get into it from the first impression. Too much telling of what was going on, very dialogue dependent, rather than building on imagery and feelings. Also, the fact that ‘something’ is going to happen, that a mystery is looking, is dangled a little too obviously in front of the reader.
