The setting of the book being just after the end of the second world war is not one I have seen many stories set in. In the first look for this book we get the set-up for the story as a whole, and while I thought that the plot of the book would mainly focus on the main character Brigitta getting to Summerland, that all happens fairly quickly and the plot instead focusses on what happens when she gets there, which, I think, will make for a much more interesting story!
