...undecided
Not sure if this one is for me as I didn't feel in any way drawn into the story - whether it be the main plot itself or the story telling style. Neither seemed to sit well for me, so much so I battled through the first impression.
We are met by a young orphan refugee who has been shipped to the UK with a group of others and who carries minimal possessions in a case. She does not speak or communicate, yet has a personal plan - or mission lets say - to find a person who will reveal the truth.
This book promises - 'An extraordinarily rich tale of love, prejudice, truth and forgiveness, inspired by real events.' - which I must say very much intrigued me and I still want to know the tale to a certain extent, but I am not sure I would be able to battle through the book itself to find out.
