Brigitta arrives in England with a Red Cross party of child refugees before quickly making her escape from them as soon as they are in London. Brigitta has survived the war and comes to England armed with a knife and a plan to seek vengeance on someone who lives in Summerland Hall. Brigitta is a Jewess and had managed to evade capture with her mother until the house they were hiding in in Berlin was hit by a bomb. Brigitta has spent her recent years hearing about England from her mother and is now on a quest set by her mother with a single grey glove in her case that must be matched to make a pair. What is the goal of her quest and will she succeed?
