I really loved this book, one of the best stories I have come across for a while. The story was really intriguing right from the start and all the way through I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. The story covers a wide range of issues love and loss which you would expect in a book about a holocaust survivor however it goes so much deeper into looking at parental love, romantic love, friendship and acceptance. The romantic love story in the book is so perfect and really left me feeling warm and fuzzy. The horrors of the war are described well and you really get a sense of what Briggitte's life was like in hiding and the lengths her mother would go to protect her. I would highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more by the same author.
