The plot follows a young protagonist at the end of World War Two, and for that reason it felt quite easy to follow the story since events and happenings were described in the simple manner of a young narrator. Whilst I enjoyed the story of the main character, I felt kind of uninterested in some of the other character and slightly felt that they weren't developed enough. However, it wasn't anything bad enough to put me off from finishing the book, and I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it and following the plot, as well as uncovering all the secrets that were unveiled throughout the story. I thought the writing style was also nice and easy to follow and complemented the plot of the book well.
